About The Position

As a Field Service Technician, you will maintain modular equipment in the field at customer sites and at the branch. You will perform problem-solving maintenance for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. You will also perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and construction in the field of modular buildings. Update and record information on company assets and systems. Perform routine evaluations of work to be performed. Safely operate a Company-provided vehicle (<10,000lbs GVW) to travel to various locations and service modular and related equipment. Duties include installing and repairing equipment, and training customer employees on how to maintain machinery. Perform trial runs of machinery to ensure performance rates and quality meet established specifications while delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in construction or related work required.
  • Basic electrical, plumbing, and flooring skills with an emphasis to learn HVAC.
  • Ability to communicate with customers regarding work status and service concerns.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and hold or lift a variety of objects.
  • Able to carry, bend, stoop, turn, kneel, crawl, climb a ladder, and perform other manual labor activities.
  • Must be able to maintain physical activity for most of the day.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis.

Nice To Haves

  • HVAC training and experience combined with an EPA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform troubleshooting, maintenance service, repairs, and construction in areas of plumbing, carpentry, painting, flooring, HVAC, roofing, and electrical.
  • Responsible for the safety, quality, and productivity at all customer locations.
  • Responsible for positive interface with the customer and ensuring the company’s reputation is improved with every customer contact.
  • Maintain inspection log(s) for equipment/vehicle and properly report exceptions; ensure equipment is maintained to Company and safety standards.
  • Safely perform all tasks and understand Company’s safety policies and procedures.
  • Deliver a high-quality output consistent with the Company’s construction standards.
  • Operate Company vehicle.
  • Read and understand blueprints, schematics, procedures, and company-specific work orders, work instructions, and floor plans.
  • Work outside in variable weather conditions.
  • Use both manual and power tools and follow operating guidelines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Train customer employees on how to maintain machinery.
  • Perform trial run of machinery to ensure performance rates and quality meet established specifications.
  • Update and record information on company assets and systems.
  • Perform routine evaluations of work to be performed.
