About The Position

SAIC is looking for a Field Service Technician to support the AC-130 gunship located at the Air Force Base in Hurlburt Field, FL. This position works rotating shifts. The role involves interfacing with the customer to handle service inquiries and problems, including installation, modification, and repair of complex equipment and systems. The technician will conduct on-site installation and testing of equipment, troubleshoot malfunctions, and provide technical presentations. Training customer personnel in equipment operation and maintenance is also a key responsibility. The position provides technical support for 30mm and 105mm weapons systems, including field service, troubleshooting, maintenance, and training support to the Air Force squadron at Hurlburt Field. The technician will also act as a liaison between the squadron and the Small Arms Branch at Naval Surface Warfare Center in Crane, IN for any technical issues related to these weapons systems.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of products.
• Technical support for 30mm and 105mm weapons systems.
• Field service, troubleshooting, maintenance, and training support experience.

Responsibilities

• Interfaces with the customer to handle service inquiries and problems to include performing customer support activities involving the installation, modification, and repair of complex equipment and systems.
• Conducts on-site installation and testing of equipment to ensure proper working order.
• Isolates equipment start-up malfunctions and takes corrective action.
• May make technical presentations and has a strong knowledge of products.
• Trains customer personnel in equipment operation and maintenance responsibilities.
• Provides technical support for the 30mm and 105mm weapons systems in the areas of field service, troubleshooting, maintenance, and training support to the Air Force squadron at Hurlburt Field.
• Provides on-site technical support for weapons and associated equipment used by the squadron.
• Acts as the liaison between the squadron and the Small Arms Branch at Naval Surface Warfare Center in Crane, IN for any technical issues related to the 30mm and 105mm weapons systems.
