About The Position

The client is seeking a Field Service Technician for the semiconductor capital equipment industry. This is a remote role that requires significant travel to manufacturing facilities in Kentucky, Tennessee, and Guadalajara, Mexico. The position is a direct hire with a full benefits package and offers a salary in the $80,000 range. The role involves installing and upgrading equipment, performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and providing warranty services to ensure optimal equipment performance. The technician will also be responsible for documenting service activities, managing parts and tools, assisting with part identification, and training customer personnel on equipment operation and maintenance.

Requirements

3+ years experience operating and maintaining SMT and/or Through-Hole related machines/ equipment, including routine upkeep and preventive maintenance.
Ability to read bills of materials (BOM), schematics, and assembly drawings.
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
Must be bilingual English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

Installing / upgrading equipment in field locations
Perform routine maintenance on equipment.
Document installation and repairs in a service system.
Inspect, troubleshoot, and provide appropriate warranty services ensuring optimal performance.
Maintain all tools used during service calls.
Manage and track parts / tools, ensuring availability for service tasks.
Provide part identification assistance for customers, distributors, Field Service Engineers, as well as other employees and departments.
Train customer personnel in equipment operation, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting.
Interact and collaborate with customers and internal associates
