About The Position

American Repair Maintenance (ARM) is seeking a Field Service Technician to join their service delivery team. This role reports to a Territory Field Supervisor and is responsible for delivering the highest standard of commercial maintenance and customer service to clients. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, self-starter who enjoys travel, variety, and autonomy. The technician will be responsible for completing service tickets in a designated territory in a cost-conscious, high-quality, and timely manner, while maintaining clear communication with various team members and adhering to all policies and procedures for safe working conditions. The role requires flexibility, cooperation, and professionalism in interactions with colleagues and customers. Travel up to several hundred miles per week is expected, along with a flexible on-call schedule. The technician must provide their own reliable transportation capable of carrying tools and equipment, a valid driver's license, hand tools, and a toolbox. Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 80 lbs, apply up to 200 pounds of torque, and perform work in various positions.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of commercial maintenance experience in plumbing, electrical, drywalling, carpentry, and flooring
  • High school diploma or equivalent vocational certification(s)
  • Proven mechanical aptitude
  • Proficiency in reading assembly and blueprint drawings
  • Provide own reliable transportation (capacity to transport tools and equipment (e.g. 16 ft., ladder, sheet rock, sewer machine))
  • Valid driver's license
  • Hand tools and toolbox suitable for the job
  • Ability to lift up to 80 lbs
  • Ability to apply up to 200 pounds of torque
  • Ability to perform work while bending, stooping, standing, sitting, and lying down

  • Be flexible and cooperative with fellow employees and customers while displaying a high level of professionalism.
  • Follow all policies and procedures to ensure proper and safe working conditions.
  • Travel up to several hundred miles per week to client sites.
  • Meet the demands of a flexible on-call schedule.
