About The Position

Exentec is seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer to support our customer base in Phoenix, AZ. In this role, you will install, qualify, and service Exentec Point-of-Use gas abatement systems at customer sites. You will also train end users, support engineering development efforts, and contribute to product improvements. Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a field service engineer.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to read schematics.
  • Proficiency using hand tools, test meters, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent technical training preferred; military technical training is a plus.
  • Strong system-level understanding of mechanics, power electronics, and control electronics.
  • Ability to read instructions, set up, and operate instrumentation.
  • Strong independent work ethic with the ability to collaborate effectively across all organizational levels.
  • A valid driver’s license is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Ethernet-based communications and basic chemistry is beneficial.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot down to the component level.

Responsibilities

  • Install, start up, and qualify Exentec abatement systems at customer sites.
  • Train end users on the operation, maintenance, and repair of Encompass and Cyclone product lines.
  • Assist with field tests, data collection, and evaluation of new processes and design features.
  • Support engineering teams with product development, improvement builds, and testing.
  • Serve as a system-level expert to resolve complex or unique onsite issues.
  • Collaborate with field engineers to develop and update manuals, field notifications, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Develop and perform final test procedures to ensure product quality.
  • Support operations by providing feedback, instructions, and documentation to improve product quality.
  • Generate and drive Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) to enhance products and procedures.
  • Provide remote support to customers for installed systems.
  • Work with engineering teams to test new designs and concepts.
  • Review documentation packages for manufacturing release.
  • Train final test technicians and new field service engineers on new products and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
