About The Position

Hillyard, Inc. is currently taking applications for Field Service Technician for our Service team in Lancaster, PA. This role is for individuals with mechanical abilities who enjoy working with their hands and are problem solvers. The Field Service Technician will be responsible for diagnosing and fixing commercial cleaning equipment, completing service reports, staying updated with training and certifications, managing parts inventory in the company vehicle, communicating with customers, and following safety protocols.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years old
• Must have a valid driver's license with a good driving record
• Strong organizational skills and attention to details
• Demonstrated mechanical, electrical, troubleshooting skills
• Must have the ability to read, understand, and follow, electrical and parts diagrams
• Must have the ability to use a variety of basic electrical testing and diagnostic equipment

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and fix commercial cleaning equipment
• Complete service reports and time sheets
• Stay updated with necessary training and certifications
• Keep track of parts inventory in the company vehicle for repairs
• Update and communicate promptly to all customers
• Act as the main contact for customers
• Follow safety protocols, including proper equipment use and vehicle maintenance
