About The Position

Empower Rental Group is hiring a Field Service Diesel Technician in Aledo, TX! Empower Rental Group is a family of local equipment rental providers across the Southeastern US. We began with 3 locations in 2021 with the goal of being the difference in the equipment rental industry by doing everything differently. We now have over 36 locations, and we are adding a Field Service Technician to our team in the Aledo, TX location! Empower Rental Group offers a comprehensive benefits package to full-time employees. Requirements

  • Over 5 years of experience
  • Field Service Mechanic
  • A Valid Driver’s License and the Ability to Drive Company Vehicles per Insurance Requirements may be required on a case-by-case basis, depending on branch needs.
  • Excellent Customer Service Skills – for both internal and external customers.
  • Able to work independently, use good judgment and professionalism with customers.
  • Exhibits average computer skills.
  • Completes rental equipment preparation by delivery date.
  • Maintains a ready line.
  • Achieves quality standards.
  • Must have own basic tools.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare rental equipment for delivery.
  • Make appropriate modifications and repairs to units before delivery.
  • Clean units before delivery.
  • Repair and clean equipment upon return from customer sites.
  • Complete service calls on units currently located at customer sites as assigned.
  • Complete preventative maintenance as needed.
  • Perform general yard work such as cleaning or preparing areas of work.
  • Drive to and from customer worksites.
  • Assist customers with loading and unloading fleet orders.
  • Provide exceptional customer support and service during field visits.
  • Assist customers with questions/customer service as applicable.
  • Assist other mechanics with tasks such as lifting or moving heavy objects.
  • May perform repairs on the small fleet.
  • Repair and maintain mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and diesel equipment.
  • Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment and parts.
  • Repair and maintain a variety of complex equipment and fleet.
  • Complete inspections.
  • Complete any type of work with supervision.
  • Complete preventative maintenance such as changing filters, checking fluids, and filling tires.
  • Maintain a safe work environment.
  • Assist in driving a continuous improvement strategy within the business to result in ongoing incremental gains in quality and efficiency.
  • Diagnose complex issues with heavy equipment powertrain, and hydraulic and electrical systems using a computer analyzer and traditional troubleshooting methods.
  • Complete repairs on company vehicles.
  • Demonstrate behaviors aligned with the Company’s Core Values at all times.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
