About The Position

We are seeking a Service Technician to join our Associated Time Instruments team in the Houston, TX area. This position is ideal for individuals with prior experience in parking equipment, security system installations and service, or access automation/control, who enjoy working outdoors. The role involves on-site service and maintenance for parking and access control hardware and software installations, providing support for multiple products. Occasional assistance with the installation of Parking and Revenue Control systems and Access Control equipment may be required, including tasks like equipment setup, wiring, communication establishment, and testing.

Requirements

Electronics technical school training or equivalent.
Ability to work on proprietary software, hardware communications, programming, and repair.
Ability to use hand and power tools.
A clean driving record.
SQL Server database maintenance and Microsoft Operating Systems knowledge.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, specifically with customers.
Ability to work well within a team environment.
Knowledge of electronics and mechanical devices.
PC computer skills.
Work with various operating systems.
Knowledge of networking.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of MS Windows software and operating system.
Knowledge of Network and/or Communication systems.
MS Network and MS A+ Certifications.

Responsibilities

On-site service and maintenance for parking and access control hardware and software installations.
Provide support for multiple products.
Software and hardware support for clients and other field service technicians.
Assist in the installation of Parking and Revenue Control systems and Access Control equipment.
Perform installation duties including equipment bolt down, installation, wiring termination, establishing communications to software host, configuring and testing of new equipment.
