About The Position

The Field Service Technician will be responsible for leading and enforcing safety protocols, overseeing technical execution of welding, rigging, crane operations, and millwright tasks, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. This role involves fostering a positive team culture, developing team members' skills, and establishing clear performance expectations. The technician will monitor and report on production metrics, provide feedback, and hold team members accountable for results.

Requirements

  • Proven leadership experience in industrial operations.
  • Strong understanding of safety standards, SOPs, and quality control.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-risk environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Physical ability to access all job site areas and perform necessary inspections.
  • Comfortable working in extreme environmental conditions and lifting heavy equipment when needed.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and enforce safety protocols across all job sites, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies.
  • Oversee technical execution of welding, rigging, crane operations, and millwright tasks, ensuring teams are trained and equipped to perform efficiently.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by setting aggressive KPI targets and monitoring performance against benchmarks.
  • Ensure optimal resource utilization and cost control while maintaining high standards of quality and productivity.
  • Facilitate clear communication between teams and clients to align operational activities with customer expectations.
  • Foster a positive team culture through effective coaching, mentoring, and conflict resolution.
  • Develop technical and soft skills of team members through structured training programs and hands-on guidance.
  • Promote transparent communication to ensure alignment, motivation, and accountability across all levels of the team.
  • Establish clear performance expectations and roles for all team members, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Monitor and report on production metrics, including safety, quality, and efficiency indicators.
