Requirements

Five (5) plus years of maintenance experience, including servicing, troubleshooting, and repair of electro-mechanical automated machinery.
Practical application of mechanical and electrical engineering principles and techniques to ensure equipment performance at manufacturers' specifications.
Advanced knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic power systems, conveyor systems, or control systems.
Initiative, critical thinking, complex problem-solving, judgment and decision-making, persistence, attention to detail, adaptability, flexibility, concern for others, and leadership.
60-70% travel during the week (Mon-Fri) during training, 60-70% travel after training.
Must be able to sit for long periods on an airplane or in a car to reach job destinations.
Must have manual dexterity to operate equipment and tools required on the job.
Must be able to quickly and repeatedly adjust the controls of a machine or vehicle to exact positions.
Must be able to quickly respond (with hand, finger, or foot) to a signal (sound, light, picture) when it appears.
Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 lbs.

Nice To Haves

Experience in maintenance, installation, service, and diagnosing issues/repairs on automated food processing and packaging machinery is preferred.
Food Processing or Packaging Machinery experience is desired.
Bilingual English-Spanish skills is desired.
Travel to the islands will be required for this opportunity.

Responsibilities

Install new equipment.
Provide routine maintenance and service to customers.
Apply troubleshooting, mechanical, and electrical skills, along with knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic control systems, to install and maintain processing and packaging machinery.
Perform preventive maintenance and on-site equipment repair.
Travel 80% (Mon-Fri) away from home visiting food plants primarily in the Southwest Region of the country, with potential travel beyond the territory as required. After training, travel will reduce to 60-70% (Mon-Fri).
Read diagrams, schematic drawings, engineering specifications, and service manuals to determine work procedures.
Engage with customers on-site, analyze equipment performance, troubleshoot to isolate problems, and determine necessary actions to restore system performance.
Share information with team members, customers, and supervisors to prioritize tasks and keep customers informed of corrective actions and equipment status.
Inform customers of routine preventive maintenance techniques.
Participate in new projects to install or improve the safety and performance of existing and new equipment.
