About The Position

Bear Staffing is seeking an experienced Field Service Technician for a direct-hire opportunity with a provider of modular buildings and temporary workspace solutions. The role involves servicing and maintaining modular buildings at customer locations within the branch territory. It is a hands-on position suited to someone with general construction, carpentry, electrical, and plumbing experience who enjoys troubleshooting repairs and working with customers. HVAC experience is beneficial but not required. The selected candidate will be hired directly by the client. The position is based in the Milwaukee, Wisconsin or Madison, Wisconsin area and pays $26–$31 per hour, based on experience. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Hands-on general construction and carpentry experience.
Working knowledge of electrical and plumbing repairs.
Valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets company requirements.
Ability to meet company motor vehicle record (MVR) screening requirements.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple service priorities.
Basic computer skills.
Strong communication and customer service skills.

Nice To Haves

HVAC troubleshooting and repair experience.
Welding experience.
General contractor’s license.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair modular buildings at customer locations.
Complete general construction, carpentry, electrical, and plumbing repairs.
Perform HVAC service work if qualified and appropriately licensed.
Explain repairs and service needs to customers professionally.
Coordinate with branch personnel, customers, and contractors to complete service calls efficiently.
Drive a company vehicle to customer locations.
Maintain safe work practices and follow customer-specific jobsite requirements.
