About The Position

To support customers with (but not limited to) Amada Punch Press in the St. Louis, MO territory. This includes installation, service, operational training, networking, programming training, software training, application training, and laser automation training. The duties are not exclusive of performing the same functions for Punch Press and combination machines, including automated material loading/unloading machines.

Requirements

Proficient in troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, control systems, and networks.
Ability to precisely follow layout drawings and blueprints for equipment installation.
Ability to communicate in the English language.
Excellent customer relations and follow through.
Ability to manage the total equipment installation process at customer sites.
Ability to use hand tools, Volt/Ohm meter, and Oscilloscope.
Working knowledge of computers and Windows OS.
Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.
Accountable and responsible to service and support a customer through all aspects of the customer’s ownership of the machine.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Nice To Haves

A 4-year degree in Electronics or a minimum of a 2-year degree with related work experience.
Ability to communicate in the Spanish language.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, control systems, and networks.
Install equipment by precisely following layout drawings and blueprints.
Complete daily status (service) reports and weekly expense reports.
Manage the total equipment installation process at customer sites.
Provide customer training on operation, applications, software, and part programming.
Use Amada applications software for line control and part programming.
Perform routine travel within assigned territories, including occasional overnight stays.
Communicate in the English language.
Maintain excellent customer relations and follow through.
