About The Position

This position will inspect, diagnose, repair, and perform maintenance on various crane equipment including mobile cranes (All Terrain, Rough Terrain, Crawler Cranes, Boom Trucks, knuckle booms, bucket trucks, etc.). Mechanical experience required with electrical and hydraulics. It is part of this role’s responsibility to help grow the business by identifying new opportunities and contributing to the development of customer relationships and market presence. Candidates will be required to take a skill assessment as part of the interview/hiring process.

Requirements

  • A minimum 2 years of experience as a Mobile Crane Mechanic/Technician.
  • Mechanical experience with electrical and hydraulics.
  • Working knowledge of CANBUS, PAT, EKS, ECOS, LICCON, and Greer systems.
  • Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record required for field technician positions.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to work overtime as well as on weekends.
  • Travel is required periodically for 1 to 4-day intervals for field techs.
  • CDL Preferred.
  • History of working with different forms of mobile crane equipment, specifically Grove RT and TMS Cranes; Grove GMK European Cranes; Manitowoc, Liebherr, Terex, Palfinger, IMT, Cormach, National, Demag, Manitex, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, diagnose, repair, and perform maintenance on various crane equipment including mobile cranes (All Terrain, Rough Terrain, Crawler Cranes, Boom Trucks, knuckle booms, bucket trucks, etc.).
  • Identify new opportunities and contribute to the development of customer relationships and market presence.
  • Operate and inspect cranes to diagnose defects.
  • Examine parts for damage or excessive wear using micrometers and gauges.
  • Read and understand operating manuals, parts manuals, blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Test mechanical, electronic, electrical and hydraulic products and equipment after repair or modification to ensure proper operation and compliance with OEM specifications.
  • Prepare for jobs by checking parts and drawings for accuracy and completeness.
  • Accomplish tasks independently without direct supervision.
  • Maintain conformity to safety requirements, manufacturer procedures, and other regulations.
  • Properly fill out working reports, hour’s reports, time sheets, hour’s overviews, work orders, and other company and customer paperwork in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Complete expense reports in a timely manner as dictated by the company policy.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and communication.
