About The Position

Entrust is seeking a 1st Shift On-Site Field Service Technician in Atlanta, GA, working Wednesday-Sunday from 8 AM to 5 PM. This role involves providing support to customers by performing preventative and emergency maintenance on Entrust equipment to ensure it is in proper working order. The technician will be responsible for a range of tasks including testing, diagnosing, and resolving issues on mechanical and electronic systems, performing daily repairs, maintaining inventory, reporting service activities, and responding to service calls. The position requires significant customer interaction, reliability, and the ability to work independently while maintaining positive customer relations and adapting to customer environments. Continuous learning and development are also key aspects of this role, including participating in company initiatives and completing required training.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 year of electromechanical technician experience
  • Proficient problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Proficient with PC’s, current operating systems and relevant software applications
  • Ability and willingness to drive to several customer sites daily to complete assigned customer work
  • Willingness and ability to work flexible hours/shifts, assignments and travel when required, including temporary off-site short-term assignments in other locations
  • Willingness to be on-call
  • Ability to lift to 70 lbs. and spend the majority of the shift sitting, bending, stooping, walking, etc.
  • Valid and active drivers license, insurability if applicable for the role
  • Overtime is required as needed

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Perform high quality preventative and emergency maintenance services on Entrust equipment.
  • Test, diagnose and resolve issues on systems that may include: Mechanical embossers, thermal image application and laminating, magstripe and chip data writing, ultraviolet curing.
  • Perform day-to-day repairs such as cleaning rollers, sensors, cavities, calibrating sensors, data read/write devices, application pressure, etc.
  • Evaluate and replace parts for wear and misalignment (includes servo & stepper motors, spindles, clutches, belts, bearings, etc.).
  • Evaluate and replace temperature/ proximity/ position sensors.
  • Perform software adjustments for temperature, hardware positioning, etc.
  • Utilize repair and service manuals to troubleshoot card printer systems.
  • Utilize test equipment such as voltmeter and laptop.
  • Utilize hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches, etc.
  • Maintain accurate and proper inventory levels utilizing the ERP platform as applicable.
  • Follow established processes for service activity reporting and call management.
  • Accept, organize, and respond to service calls utilizing a dispatch system.
  • Drive to customer sites daily to provide service and maintenance as applicable.
  • Interact with customer operations staff.
  • Be consistently reliable and timely in all aspects of the position, and display a positive attitude.
  • Demonstrate customer relation skills that allow for independent resolution of most situations without management assistance.
  • Work to continually improve customer relations.
  • Adjusts to customer culture in communication, dress code, and compliance with their behavioral standards yet maintaining and modeling Entrust values.
  • Participate in company sponsored personal development and quality initiatives.
  • Complete all company training and development courses required by Entrust.
  • Develop competency in required applications to confidently use diverse software and systems required by the operation.
  • Assist less experienced personnel that require assistance with difficult repair problems.
