About The Position

Daniels Health is looking for a Part Time Field Service Technician to join their team and help support hospitals across Illinois with critical medical waste services. This role is hands-on and involves being on your feet, moving, lifting, and making a real impact every day. The position requires working directly with hospital staff to ensure safe and timely medical waste container exchanges and proper segregation. It also involves inspecting and servicing Daniels Health containers in clinical areas, which includes entering procedural spaces and working around sensitive equipment and patients. The technician will be responsible for lifting containers (up to 50 lbs) and pushing/pulling carts (up to 300 lbs) throughout the day, maintaining inventory of containers, and ensuring all areas are stocked and organized. A company-provided smartphone will be used to manage tasks, report issues, and communicate with the team. The role also requires keeping staging areas clean and orderly before and after service, and representing Daniels Health with professionalism, positivity, and a strong work ethic.

Requirements

  • Physically fit, comfortable with heavy lifting, and enjoys active, on-the-go work.
  • Team player who can also work independently without direct supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail—especially when it comes to paperwork and procedures.
  • Reliable transportation and a willingness to travel throughout Illinois.
  • A can-do attitude and previous experience in a labor-intensive or logistics role.
  • COVID-19 vaccination required due to hospital access.

Responsibilities
