About The Position

The Field Service Technician Team Lead plays a critical role in overseeing and guiding a team of field service technicians to ensure the timely and effective installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment at various client locations across the United States. This position requires a strong technical background combined with leadership capabilities to coordinate daily operations, manage schedules, and provide hands-on support when necessary. The Team Lead is responsible for maintaining high standards of service quality, safety compliance, and customer satisfaction while fostering a collaborative and motivated team environment. Additionally, this role involves liaising with management and clients to communicate project status, resolve issues, and implement process improvements. Ultimately, the Field Service Technician Team Lead ensures that all field operations run smoothly, efficiently, and in alignment with company goals and client expectations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in a relevant field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a field service technician with demonstrated technical proficiency.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role within a field service environment.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, or electronic systems relevant to the industry served.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel frequently to client sites across the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of field service technicians to achieve operational excellence and meet service delivery targets.
  • Coordinate daily work schedules, assign tasks, and monitor progress to ensure timely completion of service calls and projects.
  • Perform hands-on technical work including installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of equipment as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols, company policies, and industry regulations during all field operations.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between field technicians, management, and clients to facilitate clear communication and resolve any service-related issues.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide training opportunities, and support professional development for team members.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of service activities, parts usage, and customer interactions in company systems.
