About The Position

Bobcat of North Texas is seeking a Field Service Technician! We are a full service Bobcat Dealership specializing in new, used, and rental compact excavators, skid steer loaders, and track loaders. We offer parts, mobile and shop service, and a full line of concrete supplies. We provide competitive pay, over two weeks of paid time off after 60 days of employment, and numerous opportunities for advancement. This is a dayshift, hourly rate position for individuals with previous experience working on construction/ag equipment who enjoy working in the field and want to join a stable company.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years working as an equipment technician.
  • Ability to work independently of direct supervision in a field environment.
  • Contribution to the spirit of teamwork and cooperation with parts personnel and other service technicians.
  • Must have an inventory of hand tools to facilitate assigned repairs.
  • Clean driving history.

Nice To Haves

  • Spanish speaking is valued.
  • A technical school certificate or equivalent experience in mechanical repairs is preferred.
  • Prior experience as a field service technician preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform inspections required to determine cause of failure following established guidelines and identify the cause.
  • Effectively repair machine components in the field with high quality.
  • Recondition and repair equipment and components.
  • Plan methods and sequence of performing assigned repairs.
  • Pre-order all parts and materials required for assigned repairs.
  • Perform repairs in a safe and effective manner.
  • Ensure all repairs are completed as assigned and meet cosmetic standards.
  • Maintain the work area in a clean and safe condition.
  • Maintain good working records for time, parts, supplies, and outside purchases in repairs, ensuring legibility and compliance.
  • Report all record keeping daily from the field, even when not returning to the company daily.
  • Maintain shop tools, equipment, and vehicles.
  • Maintain personal appearance in a professional and neat condition.
  • Wear all required personal protective equipment and encourage others to do so.
  • Conduct all communications with customers and co-workers in a manner reflecting respect and integrity.
