About The Position

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Road Mechanic/Technician to perform preventive maintenance, diagnose, and make advanced repairs on equipment at customer locations. The goal is to ensure the safest and most effective repairs to minimize downtime. The fleet varies by location but primarily includes Aerial Work Platforms, general construction tools, and equipment. Specialty lines locations may also have large-scale power generators, pumps, HVAC systems, and oil/gas related equipment. Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1-2 years of mechanic experience with diesel equipment, heavy construction equipment or specialty lines equipment (large-scale generators, pumps, HVAC or Oil & Gas equipment) based on role strongly preferred.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Knowledge of hydraulic systems and troubleshooting fundamentals.
• Knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting fundamentals.
• Ability to be flexible with changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• May need to provide mechanic’s tools of trade.
• 21 years of age & CDL license may be required in some locations.
• Bilingual (Spanish or Other) may be required based on location needs.

Nice To Haves

• Some trade school or equivalent training desired.
• ASE Certified Mechanic
• IFPS Certified Technician
