About The Position

The Field Service Technician II will perform functions related to product readiness for patient utilization on a wide range of rental and customer owned medical products. This involves cleaning, disinfecting, operational function checks, and minor repairs of Baxter and non-Baxter products. The position requires operating a fleet vehicle in a safe manner and involves direct customer contact. Additionally, the role provides 24/7 delivery, removal, and service support for products in service centers and customer accounts in a timely and professional manner. The Field Service Technician I performs similar duties related to product readiness for patient utilization. Every repair, delivery, and call makes a real impact.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience
  • Valid driver's license and driving record
  • Basic mathematical skills – addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
  • Authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.

Responsibilities

  • Performs electronic, hydraulic and pneumatic systems troubleshooting and repair of assigned products.
  • Troubleshoots devices and repairs any malfunctioning components.
  • Uses the appropriate tools in making required adjustments and repairs.
  • Provides on-call coverage, up to 24/7 basis including weekends and holidays, which may require customer account visits.
  • Loads, unloads, and removes medical products, weighing up to 1680 pounds.
  • Generates service revenue and completes activities required under service contract.
  • Safely operates box truck vehicle or company car ranging in size from a cargo van up to a 26,000 pound truck.
  • Performs cleaning, disinfecting, operational function checks, and minor repairs of Baxter and non-Baxter products.
  • Operates a fleet vehicle in a safe manner.
  • Provides 24/7 delivery, removal, and service support for products in service centers and customer accounts.
