About The Position

The Field Service Technician II role involves providing on-site technical support and maintenance for office equipment such as black and white, color, and multifunctional printers, copiers, and other devices at customer locations throughout the Tucson, AZ area. The technician will be responsible for maintaining, servicing, and repairing equipment, delivering product training, diagnosing issues, and carrying out installations and upgrades. This role offers the opportunity to impact local businesses and organizations by ensuring their equipment functions properly, and provides avenues for career growth within Toshiba.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • The job involves frequent bending, lifting, and reaching.
  • Requires a valid state driver's license and minimum level of auto insurance coverage per Toshiba policy for positions entailing extensive use of personal car while on company business.

Nice To Haves

  • A minimum of three years of experience in one or more of the following: Technical repair, service & installation of copier/office equipment
  • Technical service, repair or training of Photo ID systems/software, printers, ID Badge, or Fingerprint equipment
  • Experience providing mechanical support and repair for low voltage devices and equipment.
  • Relevant experience may come from military/veteran service, cable installation, electrical work, automotive or mechanical repair,
  • Technical service, repair or support of comparable products
  • Advanced education or certification or internships in respective areas can be used to meet experience requirement

Responsibilities

  • Provide printer and copier maintenance, service, and repairs to customers
  • Deliver product training efficiently and effectively
  • Diagnose equipment issues and carry out installations and upgrades
  • Make modifications, remove old units, and retrofit existing hardware
  • Complete field calls according to priority while practicing effective time management
  • Continuously enhance your technical skills for field assignments
  • Rebuild components at the shop
