About The Position

This role is responsible for performing functions related to product readiness for patient utilization on a wide range of rental and customer-owned medical products. This involves cleaning, disinfecting, operational function checks, and minor repairs of Baxter and non-Baxter products. The Field Service Technician II also performs the same responsibilities as a Field Service Technician I. This position requires operating a fleet vehicle safely and involves direct customer contact. Additionally, the role provides 24/7 delivery, removal, and service support for products in service centers and customer accounts in a timely and professional manner, ensuring support during critical moments. The field service team works within hospital and service setting environments to repair medical devices.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience
  • Valid driver's license and driving record
  • Basic mathematical skills – addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
  • Ability to operate a fleet vehicle in a safe manner
  • Ability to work directly with customers

Responsibilities

  • Performs electronic, hydraulic and pneumatic systems troubleshooting and repair of assigned products.
  • Troubleshoots devices and repairs any malfunctioning components.
  • Uses appropriate tools for making required adjustments and repairs.
  • Provides on-call coverage, up to a 24/7 basis including weekends and holidays, which may require customer account visits.
  • Loads, unloads, and removes medical products, weighing up to 1680 pounds.
  • Generates service revenue and completes activities required under service contract.
  • Safely operates box truck vehicle or company car ranging in size from a cargo van up to a 26,000 pound truck.
  • Performs cleaning, disinfecting, operational function checks, and minor repairs of Baxter and non-Baxter products.
  • Provides 24/7 delivery, removal, and service support for products in service centers and customer accounts.
