The Field Service Technician II - Generator is responsible for conducting all assigned work in a safe manner, adhering to all applicable safety, environmental, and contamination control policies, procedures, and regulations. This role involves attending and completing required technician training, maintaining a necessary set of tools for diagnosing, disassembling, and assembling components to manufacturer's specifications. The technician will diagnose and perform repairs on customer or company-owned equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting. They are expected to work in a neat and orderly fashion, continuously seeking improvements in work methods, the work area, and safety standards. A key aspect of the role is inspecting components to maximize the reuse of parts to control repair costs. The technician must complete required documentation using appropriate software to record repairs and account for repair times, while also monitoring job expenses against repair estimates and informing the supervisor of any potential cost overruns. The position requires approaching work positively, maintaining supportive conduct within the team, and setting a standard for others. Contributions to team efforts include accomplishing tasks on time while maintaining safety and quality expectations. Additionally, the role involves training and mentoring others in the department and performing other duties as assigned.
