This position requires daily travel to locations in and around the San Francisco area, including the airport. The role is responsible for meeting daily service repair needs and driving customer satisfaction. The technician will install, repair, and maintain equipment in the field, provide customer training, and document all inspections, maintenance, and repair work. Responsibilities also include ordering, installing, and returning parts, managing repair parts cycle time, reviewing logs for open issues, and preparing formal reports to customers. The role participates in Service Sales opportunities, assists with promoting revenue programs, and ensures tools and test equipment are properly maintained and calibrated. The technician will assess product/equipment performance, recommend modifications, and provide technical support to customers and other service professionals. Participation in site surveys and pilot program service activities may also be required. The position requires basic technical knowledge of the company’s Trace and X-Ray technologies, clear and concise business communication, and establishing strong relationships with senior FSEs and Product Managers. Cost control and compliance with company health, safety, environmental, and export control regulations are essential. Travel, overtime, and work hours other than Monday-Friday may be required.
