Field Service Technician I - West Palm Beach, FL Area (Company Vehicle & 4-Day Workweeks!)

We offer a comprehensive 10-week training period (8 weeks in the field with a trainer and 2 weeks classroom-based in Loveland, CO). After training, your schedule will consist of 4 shifts per week at 10-hour days based on workload demand. This role is based in the West Palm Beach, FL area and supports customers throughout the territory, with a minimum of 50% overnight travel expected (1-2 overnights per week). Company-paid travel, accommodations, and meals are provided for overnight stays.
Requirements
- HS Diploma required; Associates/technical degree preferred, or a combination of education and experience.
- Mechanical aptitude is a must - experience with preventative maintenance and technical diagnostics/repair.
- 2+ years of field service experience and/or customer-facing roles preferred.
- A valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and the ability to rent a car and/ or hotel rooms under applicable state law are required.
- This position requires occasional rental of vehicles or booking of hotel rooms for business travel.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance, routine repair, and calibration/verification of instrumentation using established company standard work.
- Promotes a positive customer experience and serves as on-site customer contact for technical and service-related problems.
- Work in a wide variety of municipal and industrial settings, including but not limited to drinking water & wastewater treatment facilities, refineries, chemical manufacturing plants, food & beverage processing facilities, etc. Some applications may involve instrument servicing in NEC hazardous locations (Class I Division 2).
- Submits prompt, accurate service reports that affect billing, inventory, instrument history, and instrument failure.
- Follows safe work practices according to company policy.
- Executes administrative activities in support of service visits.
- Daily travel to customer sites.
