Field Service Technician I - New Orleans, LA
About The Position
This role performs functions related to product readiness for patient utilization on a wide range of rental and customer-owned medical products. This involves cleaning, disinfecting, operational function checks, and minor repairs of Baxter and non-Baxter products. The position also requires operating a fleet vehicle safely, direct customer contact, and providing 24/7 delivery, removal, and service support for products in service centers and customer accounts in a timely and professional manner. The Field Service Technician I is responsible for ensuring products are ready for patient use and supporting critical moments when patients and healthcare professionals need assistance.
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license and driving record
- Basic mathematical skills – addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division

Responsibilities
- Performs electronic, hydraulic and pneumatic systems troubleshooting and repair of assigned products.
- Troubleshoots devices and repairs any malfunctioning components.
- Uses appropriate tools for making required adjustments and repairs.
- Provides on-call coverage, up to a 24/7 basis including weekends and holidays, which may require customer account visits.
- Loads, unloads, and removes medical products, weighing up to 1680 pounds.
- Generates service revenue and completes activities required under service contract.
- Safely operates box truck vehicle or company car ranging in size from a cargo van up to a 26,000 pound truck.
