About The Position

The Field Service Technician I has a basic understanding of HVAC systems and supports field operations by assisting with installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting of HVAC equipment at job sites. This hands-on, safety-conscious role works closely with experienced technicians in the field. The position travels to customer or project sites as required and performs other duties assigned to support operational and organizational objectives.

Requirements

Some experience or training in HVAC work, such as trade school, a vocational program, or on-the-job training.
Familiarity with basic hand and power tools used in HVAC work.
Experience reading electrical and HVAC drawings or schematics.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
OSHA 10 or other safety certifications.
Ability to follow instructions and learn from experienced technicians.
Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and willingness to work outdoors and in various environments.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on ladders, lifts, or in tight spaces.
Basic knowledge of electrical codes and safety practices as they apply to HVAC systems.

Responsibilities

Assist senior technicians with installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems and equipment.
Help set up tools, materials, and work areas at job sites.
Perform basic wiring, conduit installation, and equipment mounting under supervision.
Support testing and troubleshooting of electrical and HVAC components and systems.
Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment as needed.
Document work performed and assist with job site reports.
Travel to various customer or project sites as required.
Perform other duties as assigned to support operational and organizational objectives.
