Job PurposeEnersys is seeking a highly motivated Field Service Technician I to join our growing team! In this role, you will be responsible for providing on-site service, maintenance, and repair for our diverse range of products and equipment at customer locations. You will specialize in our Energy Systems solutions, providing support to customers who rely on our products for essential services like telecommunications, data centers, emergency power, and more. This includes maintaining and servicing uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), switchgear, and other critical equipment.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesField Service Expertise: Shadow experienced technician on service calls. Perform basic equipment checks Travel to customer sites to assist with installation and repair of equipment. Under supervision, perform preventative maintenance tasks to ensure optimal equipment performance and longevity. Customer Focus: Build and maintain strong customer relationships by providing timely, efficient, and professional service. Effectively communicate with internal teams to ensure seamless customer support and service delivery. Act as a liaison between the customer and the company to ensure customer satisfaction. Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including OSHA, DOT Hazmat, and ISO9000 standards. Operate material handling equipment safely and maintain a clean and organized work environment. Complete all required safety and compliance training. Administration and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of service calls, maintenance activities, and customer interactions. Complete timely reports, including service reports, expense reports, and quality alerts as directed. Manage company assets, including a service vehicle, parts inventory, tools, and test equipment.
