About The Position

Arkansas Industrial Machinery Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Tavoron, is seeking a full-time Field Service Technician to join their growing team. This role is ideal for someone with electrical and mechanical aptitudes, strong troubleshooting skills, accurate record-keeping habits, organization, moderate to good computer proficiency, and good interpersonal communication skills. The company is a leading industrial productivity services provider in the region, specializing in compressed air, vacuum, blowers, and cooling water systems.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in field service, maintenance, or repair of mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Hands-on experience servicing air compressors, compressed air dryers, or refrigeration systems.
  • Solid understanding of electrical systems, including 3-phase power, control wiring, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong mechanical skills related to rotating equipment, pneumatics, and fluid systems.
  • Competent in diagnosing issues quickly and accurately using meters, gauges, and diagnostic tools.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple service calls, and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Moderate to good computer proficiency for service documentation, emails, and work orders.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Nice To Haves

  • HVAC experience and EPA certification are considered strong assets.
  • Relevant certifications in HVAC, electrical, or mechanical systems are a plus.
  • 1-2 years of previous mechanical/service experience.
  • Troubleshooting skills are a necessity.
  • High School or Vocational School Mechanical program preferred.
  • Knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

  • Perform troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs on a wide range of air compressors, compressed air dryers, filtration systems, and related equipment.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance to manufacturer and company standards, ensuring equipment reliability and optimal performance.
  • Install air compressors and auxiliary components, including piping, controls, and electrical connections.
  • Interpret and work from equipment manuals, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with customers to explain service findings, recommendations, and maintenance needs.
  • Complete service reports, documentation, and inventory tracking accurately and on time.
  • Maintain professionalism, safety awareness, and pride in workmanship in all customer environments.
  • Participate in on-call rotations, overtime, and travel as required.
