Field Service Technician - CDL
About The Position
DESOTEC is dedicated to protecting the planet through sustainable, mobile filter solutions using activated carbon. We distribute filters to production companies across Europe via a rental model and retrieve saturated carbon for reactivation. This process unburdens customers from the administrative, moral, logistical, and ecological consequences of their purification needs, allowing them to focus on sustainable production. As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for executing carbon exchanges at customer sites, operating specialized equipment like slurry tankers, the Hurricane vacuum unit, and hydraulic trailers. You will also assist with loading and unloading filters and tankers at the Service Hub, and contribute to maintaining a safe and well-maintained working environment.
Requirements
- Class A CDL license and experience.
- Ability to perform physical functions per job requirements.
- Solution-oriented mindset.
- Proficient with mechanical tools and equipment.

- Dry bulk experience
- HAZWOPER 40

Responsibilities
- Execute carbon exchanges at customer sites with slurry tankers, operating the tanker, air compressor, customer equipment, and man lifts if needed.
- Transport the Hurricane vacuum unit to and from customers' sites with a truck, and use it to remove spent carbon from customer vessels.
- Use a forklift to fill customer vessels with bulk bags of fresh carbon after spent carbon removal.
- Operate specially designed mobile filter hydraulic trailers at customer’s sites to exchange spent filters with fresh ones.
- Assist with loading and unloading filters and tankers at the Service Hub.
- Create and sustain a safe working environment and culture within the company.
- Communicate effectively with customers.
