Field Service Technician - CDL A
About The Position
DESOTEC is dedicated to protecting the planet through sustainable, mobile filter solutions using activated carbon. We distribute filters to companies across Europe via a rental model. When the carbon is saturated, we retrieve it for reactivation, relieving customers of the administrative, logistical, and ecological burdens associated with purification. This allows them to focus on sustainable production. As a Field Service Technician, you will execute carbon exchanges at customer sites using slurry tankers, operating equipment such as the tanker, air compressor, customer equipment, and man lifts. You will also transport the Hurricane vacuum unit to customer sites via truck and use it to remove spent carbon from vessels, refilling them with fresh carbon using a forklift. Additionally, you will operate specially designed mobile filter hydraulic trailers for filter exchanges and assist with loading and unloading filters and tankers at the Service Hub. Core responsibilities include creating and sustaining a safe working environment, communicating effectively with customers, working well in a team, maintaining company property, and demonstrating a desire to learn.
Requirements
- Class A CDL license and experience
- Perform physical functions per job requirements
- Solution-oriented mindset
- Proficient with mechanical tools and equipment

Responsibilities
- Execute carbon exchanges at customer sites with slurry tankers.
- Operate the tanker, air compressor, customer equipment, and various forms of man lifts if needed.
- Transport the Hurricane vacuum unit to and from customers' sites with a truck.
- Use the Hurricane to remove spent carbon from the customer's vessel.
- Use a forklift to fill the vessel with bulk bags of fresh carbon.
- Operate specially designed mobile filter hydraulic trailer at customer’s sites to exchange spent filters with fresh ones.
- Assist with loading and unloading filters and tankers at the Service Hub.
- Create and sustain a safe working environment and culture within the company.
