About The Position

The Field Service Technician III is a senior‑level, customer‑facing role responsible for performing complex warranty and non‑warranty service and repairs on Milgard windows and doors in residential homes throughout an assigned territory. This role requires strong technical expertise, independent problem‑solving, and the ability to accurately diagnose issues, determine warranty applicability, and clearly communicate findings to both customers and internal partners. As a Level III technician, this position serves as a trusted expert in the field and may handle escalated or more technically challenging service needs. Requirements

  • Prior window, door, or glass service experience strongly preferred
  • Required: Previous construction or related trade experience
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and hands‑on troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work independently and make sound judgment decisions in the field
  • Clean Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) driving record
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and work from ladders as needed
  • Company‑provided service truck must be parked at the technician’s residence daily

Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced warranty and non‑warranty service and repairs at customer homes, including: Adjusting components and hardware Replacing parts and materials Conducting water tests and measurements Diagnosing installation, product, or performance issues
  • Accurately document all work performed, findings, and resolutions in work orders and service systems
  • Review work orders prior to service to ensure accuracy and readiness
  • Determine warranty status and clearly explain findings and next steps to customers and supervisors
  • Requisition necessary parts and materials from internal suppliers to complete field work efficiently
  • Travel to service locations based on pre‑scheduled appointments within the assigned territory
  • Operate independently in the field while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and customer service
  • Represent Milgard professionally and demonstrate the company’s Core Values in all customer and business interactions
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
