About The Position

This position is responsible for ensuring that the client's dental equipment is functioning correctly. The work focuses primarily on troubleshooting and repairing equipment, as well as supporting equipment installation and selling maintenance contracts.

Requirements

  • Training or certification from dental equipment manufacturers.
  • Experience working on dental equipment from major manufacturers is an asset.
  • Experience in mechanical, electrical, electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic, and/or plumbing.
  • Experience with the installation of compressor systems.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Problem-solving aptitude.
  • Ability to plan and organize work schedule with limited supervision.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Bilingualism required.
  • Daily travel from one dental office to another.
  • Valid Canadian driver's license or equivalent and a good driving record.
  • Available to work evenings and weekends to respond to emergency calls.
  • Periodically required to travel overnight to provide customer support.
  • Able to lift heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs).
  • Manual dexterity to handle hand tools and small power tools.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification, diploma in mechanics, electronics, small machine repair, etc. is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a high level of customer service: Promptly respond to service requests, Follow up on commitments to customers and internal colleagues, Listen to customer issues, Communicate customer information to sales representatives and the service clerk, Complete work orders, Maintain appropriate tools, supplies, and parts in the vehicle.
  • Maintain customer equipment: Document equipment problems and completed repairs, Diagnose equipment problems and make arrangements to obtain necessary parts, supplies, or tools, Communicate equipment problems and recommended repairs to customers, Adjust, repair, or calibrate equipment to manufacturer specifications, Follow up on maintenance contracts.
  • Take charge of new equipment installations: Follow up according to established timelines, Verify that equipment is set up to manufacturer specifications.
  • Sell maintenance contracts.
  • Maintain a safe and respectful environment: Report incidents, injuries, or near misses, Behave in accordance with Sinclair policies, Participate in continuous training programs.
