About The Position

The Field Service Technician is responsible for maintaining and servicing IGT equipment at Retailer (customer) locations. Responds to dispatches and drives to customer locations within a specified "zone" to deliver supplies and to install, remove, or repair lottery equipment and communication devices.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience in electronics, repair, field service, or a related industry.
  • Must be computer literate and have documented technical experience.
  • Knowledge and understanding of AC/DC fundamentals.
  • Knowledge of and experience using basic tools is required.
  • Ability, flexibility, and willingness to work varied shifts, overtime, travel to client sites as needed, and on-call shifts.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for a full shift.
  • Ability to follow policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
  • Ability to adapt to various jurisdictions and effectively interface with compliance officers.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and be willing to deliver equipment using box trucks.

  • Technical or IT-related training or education is a plus.
  • Slots and gaming technician experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for various install, troubleshooting, and repair of IGT gaming machines.
  • Support Technical teams to install, remove, convert, perform preventive maintenance, and prepare games, set options and repair games in a field environment.
  • Reading and translating wiring diagrams.
  • Resolve technical problems and perform program upgrades, and download set up.
  • Testing programs with various verification devices.
  • Troubleshoot with input and output tests.
  • Set up game options and test various devices.
  • Test pay table, reel strip and bonus awards.
  • Install, repair and maintain data lines, fiber optics, and telephone lines.
  • Knowledge share with customers on basic game functionality.
  • Maintain a positive image of IGT with co-workers and IGT’s customers.
  • In-depth user-level knowledge of SAP preferred.
  • Provide recommendations for improvements to procedures, etc.
