Requirements

  • Valid Class A CDL required
  • Experience repairing and maintaining construction equipment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word; familiarity with other Microsoft Office applications is a plus
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment, including computers, copiers, and scanners
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong commitment to safety and customer service
  • Walking on uneven terrain and active job sites
  • Frequently lifting and carrying 50+ pounds
  • Operating hand tools, power tools, equipment, and machinery
  • Bending, kneeling, crouching, and reaching in various directions
  • Climbing on and off heavy equipment
  • Working in standing, sitting, and prone positions as needed
  • Reading service manuals, work orders, and equipment documentation
  • Communicating effectively by radio, telephone, and in person
  • Identifying mechanical issues through visual inspection and sound
  • Operating company vehicles and service equipment

  • Familiarity with other Microsoft Office applications is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain construction equipment in the field and at customer job sites
  • Travel to various customer locations throughout the assigned territory
  • Disassemble, inspect, clean, and reassemble equipment components
  • Follow manufacturer specifications and service manual procedures
  • Identify parts requiring repair or replacement and coordinate parts ordering
  • Utilize diagnostic and testing equipment to troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
  • Prepare warranty recommendations and documentation
  • Perform minor welding, fabrication, plumbing, alignment, and DC electrical repairs
  • Support and guide junior technicians during equipment repairs
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
  • Complete service reports and documentation in English
  • Process warranty and customer work orders
  • Obtain customer purchase orders and manage service job paperwork
  • Open and close work orders accurately and efficiently
  • Respond to service calls and communicate job status, progress, and issues with customers
  • Assist with special projects as assigned
  • Assist the Service Manager with departmental projects and tasks
  • Maintain a clean and professional service truck and workspace
