About The Position
Brechbuhler Scales, Inc. is seeking a Field Service Scale Technician in Pittsburgh, PA. This full-time role involves learning and applying scale industry fundamentals to install, service, and troubleshoot mechanical and electronic components of industrial scales. The technician will provide timely and efficient service to ensure equipment accuracy and reliability, follow detailed processes for documentation, calibration, and reporting, and operate industrial equipment safely. The role requires using software and mobile tools for service reports, maintaining company vehicles and equipment, adhering to schedules, and working both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and perform physical tasks in varying conditions
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures without shortcuts
- A professional attitude and image as a representative of the company
- Basic knowledge of electronics, mechanics, or industrial systems
- Comfortable with technology, including email, mobile apps, and troubleshooting software
- Ability to work in a team as well as independently and take ownership of quality results
Nice To Haves
- CDL Class B
- Prior experience in field service, equipment maintenance, or similar hands-on roles
