About The Position
GA Foods is seeking to hire a Route Delivery Driver for our Cartersville, GA location. This role involves the safe and timely delivery of food items and supplies to customer homes/sites, while maintaining vehicle upkeep, food safety standards, and accurate recordkeeping. The position requires regular attendance and may involve other duties assigned by management.
Requirements
- Valid Driver License (No DUI in last 5 yrs., 0-4 Current Pts.)
- Good Communication and Customer Service Skills
- General Office Equipment and Computer Experience
- GPS and Tablet Technologies
- ServSafe Food Handler Certification
Nice To Haves
- Min. 3 years prior route delivery/distribution exp. preferred
Responsibilities
- Safe delivery of food items and supplies to customer homes/sites in a timely and accurate manner
- Vehicle upkeep and cleanliness
- Maintain food safety and handling procedures with compliance to temperature requirements
- Report any deficiencies or problems to supervisor promptly
- Maintain driver scorecard and other required recordkeeping
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and maintain service records
- Check vehicle fluid levels and perform general routine inspection of vehicle to ensure all is in working order
- Assist with packing and/or storing of food items, components and/or supplies as required
- Regular attendance required to meet employer's attendance policy to ensure customer deliveries can be accomplished as scheduled
- Other duties as assigned by management
