About The Position

The Raytheon Fullerton Field Engineering team supports Sentinel® radars which are the primary air defense radar for the US Army as well as part of the National Advanced Surface-to-Air Missile System (NASAMS®) defense system in support of several foreign customers. Raytheon is currently seeking Field Service Representatives (FSRs) to support up to fourteen (14) Sentinel Radar distributed throughout Qatar with FSR primary support location at Doha, Qatar. As part of this support, the FSR will travel to Qatari military sites throughout Qatar to support the end user as requested. In addition to supporting the Sentinel radar, the FSR will also support RTX’s High Mobility Launcher (HML). Training will be provided as On the Job Training (OJT) by in-country personnel and include theory of operation and troubleshooting skills required to support day-to-day usage of the HML. This is an accompanied assignment. This position is contingent on the candidate’s ability to meet all deployment needs at all times to include vaccinations if required for that region. Additional training before deployment may be required CONUS as directed by the customer. Fullerton, CA WILL NOT be the permanent home location, only the initial on-boarding will take place in Fullerton. Position Location Onsite – Doha, Qatar The FSR oversees all the installation, test, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities for Sentinel Radar systems at the assigned location. The FSR will work with the Qatar NASMAS in-country team, as necessary, to complete intermediate and depot level maintenance, fault isolation, alignment, calibration and repair verification that is beyond the authorized capability of the Qatar Air Force (QAF) customer for Sentinel and the HML.

Requirements

A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.
3+ years experience in the operation and maintenance of Radar Systems, S band and/or X band artillery search and acquisition radar systems (e.g. Firefinder and Sentinel).
3+ years experience using technical manuals, interpreting product drawings and/or reading schematics as part of troubleshooting system failures.
3+ years experience working with test equipment, e.g. Oscilloscopes, Power Meters, Digital Multimeters.
Willing to complete minimum 1-year MOU in Qatar from the date of arrival.
Able to apply system knowledge and field experience related to the theory of operation and maintenance to resolve Sentinel operational problems.
Ability to lift 25 lbs and assist with two person lifts up to 75 lbs with available lifting assistance.
Able to work outdoors in extreme climate conditions with temperatures in excess of 100 degrees.
Able to work extended work days (if needed) and be on-call (as scheduled) to Qatar NASMAS in-country team.
Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

CompTIA Security+ certification is a plus.
MOS 94M Radar Repairer or Military technical training and certification as a radar maintainer.
Middle East customer experience.
Leadership experience and working with a team to advise and assist in effecting preventative maintenance programs and equipment record keeping.
Knowledge of Military protocol to include Operational and Tactical Procedures Associated with Air Defense Systems.
Good written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Support end user with regular Sentinel maintenance and Preventative Maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS) per Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETM).
As required, the FSR will also assist with march order and emplacement tasks, customer event support, and training event support.
Support end user with coordination for 400Hz generator power in support of Sentinel operations.
Regular use of simple hand tools (e.g. wrenches, ball allen sets, grease gun) and test equipment (e.g. oscilloscope, power meter, multimeter) as part of Sentinel maintenance and troubleshooting.
Keep inventory and maintenance records on RTX spares and test equipment provided by program to support 24/7 Sentinel operations.
Support movement of Sentinel spares to work locations, completion of shipping records as needed, and maintaining accountability of spare parts to program.
Travel to various customer sites within Qatar will be required.
