About The Position

The Hillman Group Canada services a wide variety of customers in the Automotive, Industrial, Retail and Agricultural channels. We have products in Home Depot, Lowes, Canadian Tire, Walmart and more! The Detailer provides hands-on service to Big Box Retail stores, setting up H. Paulin brand displays, ensuring adequate stock levels and resolving day-to-day customer and store issues. This role requires you to drive your own vehicle and be able to constantly lift/move 30-40 pounds. Pay is based on experience, typically $19-20 CAD an hour.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years in a retail vendor or big box environment or related experience
  • Excellent computer skills (MS Office) specifically MS Excel and Outlook.
  • Strategic thinker, good communicator and exceptional problem solver.
  • Performs function with a sense of purpose and a degree of urgency.

Responsibilities

  • Visits designated stores weekly, merchandising inventory, sorting bins and attending to general housekeeping duties.
  • Prepares & processes new orders using company issued equipment.
  • Brings issues and discrepancies to the attention of the appointed store representative.
  • Works as liaison between designated stores and Hillman Canada head office.
  • Travel between stores in selected region.
  • Performs other tasks as assigned by management.
  • Follow the store safety rules, and work in a safe and healthy manner
  • Employees are expected and encouraged to participate in safety and health program activities including immediately reporting hazards, immediately reporting unsafe work practices and incidents to supervisors, wearing required personal protective equipment, and participating in and supporting safety committee activities.
