About The Position
This role involves the safe and timely delivery of food items and supplies to customer homes or sites. The representative is responsible for vehicle upkeep, maintaining food safety standards, and reporting any issues to their supervisor. The position requires regular attendance to ensure scheduled deliveries are met and may involve other duties assigned by management.
Requirements
- Valid Driver License (No DUI in last 5 yrs., 0-4 Current Pts.)
- Good Communication and Customer Service Skills
- General Office Equipment and Computer Experience
- GPS and Tablet Technologies
- ServSafe Food Handler Certification
Nice To Haves
- Min. 3 years prior route delivery/distribution exp. preferred
Responsibilities
- Safe delivery of food items and supplies to customer homes/sites in a timely and accurate manner
- Vehicle upkeep and cleanliness
- Maintain food safety and handling procedures with compliance to temperature requirements
- Report any deficiencies or problems to supervisor promptly
- Maintain driver scorecard and other required recordkeeping
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and maintain service records
- Check vehicle fluid levels and perform general routine inspection of vehicle to ensure all is in working order
- Assist with packing and/or storing of food items, components and/or supplies as required
- Regular attendance required to meet employer's attendance policy to ensure customer deliveries can be accomplished as scheduled
- Other duties as assigned by management
