About The Position

VAM USA, a world leader in premium connection solutions for the oil and gas industry, is seeking a Field Service Representative. This role involves overseeing service companies and rig personnel, supervising rig crews in product implementation, performing critical on-site inspections, and providing procedural support to ensure efficient product installation and maintenance. The representative will also follow up with customers to identify improvement areas, build relationships, fulfill service reports, and assist sales with customer calls. Responsibilities include managing equipment inventory, verifying connection signatures, calibrating make-up equipment, ordering and shipping service equipment, and adhering to the Smith System of driving. The role requires being available "On Call" and following all company policies, procedures, specifications, and safety standards. Any other duties as assigned are also part of the role.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience to meet skill level.
  • Minimum 5 years in OCTG services.
  • Advanced knowledge of well completions.
  • Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, preferably SAP.
  • Ability to read, write and speak well in English and possess strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to understand and execute instructions through strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Must be available for frequent extended travel both domestically and internationally.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
  • Must be able to pass applicable testing as required.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and instruct various Service Companies and rig personnel in proper handling and make-up criteria for VAM USA products.
  • Supervise rig crews/casing crews in implementation and field evaluation of new products.
  • Perform critical inspections of VAM USA products on-site to field inspection criteria.
  • Provide procedural support and oversee control to ensure the product is installed and/or maintained efficiently.
  • Follow up with customer's representative regarding past and upcoming jobs to identify potential areas of improvement and build positive relationships.
  • Responsible for service report fulfillment.
  • Accompany or assist sales with customer calls.
  • Responsible for maintaining and controlling all equipment and accessory inventory.
  • Verify connection signature for acceptance or rejection and calibration of connection make-up equipment.
  • Responsible for ordering needed service equipment and shipping equipment to job sites as needed.
  • Maintain and safely execute the Smith System of driving on company vehicles.
  • Available “On Call” in accordance with company policies and procedures to satisfy customer requirements.
  • Follow all company policies, running procedures, specifications and safety standards.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.
