At STERIS, we help our Customers create a healthier and safer world by providing innovative healthcare and life science product and service solutions around the globe. This position is an entry-level job where you will perform surgical instrument inspection, repair, and refurbishment in a field-based setting, driving and working in a mobile repair truck. Technicians deliver superior Customer Experience by providing timely and quality repairs to meet compliance standards. This position will require frequent overnight travel and driving a company vehicle. This 1st shift position is primarily Monday through Friday. Due to the field service nature of this role, your commute will vary: on local days (about 50% of the time), you will meet your colleagues at Customer locations within the greater Omaha area or in nearby cities. The rest of the time, you will drive your own vehicle to meet colleagues in Tea, SD (at which point you will proceed with colleagues on the company repair truck). These overnight trips to Tea will usually last several days in a row, 2 or 3 times per month. You will receive mileage reimbursement for using your own vehicle in these instances, and your travel time is paid as well.
