About The Position

Morrison Industrial Equipment is looking for a Full-Time Field Mechanic at our Grand Rapids location. This position is ideal for individuals with wrenching experience and strong mechanical knowledge, whether on vehicles or other equipment. The role involves traveling locally to customers in a company van to perform repairs on a variety of products, with a primary focus on forklifts. The company is a family-oriented business with over 70 years of service, specializing in material handling equipment.

Requirements

Have a Strong Mechanical Aptitude and Abilities
Have 2+ Years Mechanical Repair and Maintenance Experience
Have Excellent Communication Skills
Enjoy Independent Work
Can Utilize Technology such as a Laptop or Tablet
Have a Valid Driver’s License - 3+ years running
Meet Minimum Tool Requirement or qualify for our tools-for-techs program
Ability to lift 50-75 pounds due to Lift and Move Functions
Valid, good-standing driver’s license
Pre-employment drug screen, physical exam, and background check

Responsibilities

Diagnose and Repair Equipment Breakdowns
Communicate any Needed Repairs
Complete Work Orders in a Timely Manner
Coordinate with Parts and Service Department Daily
Keep Work Van Clean and Stocked with Supplies
Interacts with Customers in a Professional Manner
Comply with all Safety Procedures within FOM’s Guidelines
Consistently and Reliably attend Shift Ready to Work
Perform any Other Duties as Assigned
