About The Position

Leonardo DRS Land Systems is seeking a full-time Field Service Manager. This position is based out of our Bridgeton, MO facility and will have the option to work an in-person or hybrid schedule. The Field Service Manager reports to the Director, Engineering – Logistics and manages a team of Field Service Technicians, Field Service Engineers and Supervisors. The Field Service group supports the installation, modification, retrofit, developmental engineering tests and maintenance of our systems and platforms in support of our internal and external foreign and domestic customers around the world.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5+ years supervising field support teams and activities
  • Must be able to travel up to 50% to CONUS and OCONUS (Outside the Contiguous United States) locations
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Must have or be eligible to obtain a U.S. Passport
  • Must be able to obtain and retain a company credit card
  • Excellent teambuilding and leadership skills
  • Good communications skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to guide others through moderately complex technical and logistical challenges
  • Computer proficiency with MS Office application experience, including Word, Excel, Project and PowerPoint
  • U.S. Citizenship required. This position requires an active DOD security clearance or the ability to obtain such clearance within a reasonable time after commencement of employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Fundamental understanding of computer systems, operating systems, and configuration files, a plus
  • Detailed understanding and use of database technologies, a plus

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and direct field service engineers, representatives, and technicians across multiple customer accounts, including tracking deployment status (CONUS/OCONUS) and providing independent team leadership, coaching, and coordination
  • Review and approve all field service travel expense reports, purchase authorizations, foreign rental agreements, timesheets, and supplier invoices
  • Manage technical aspects of complex projects by instructing, directing and ensuring engineer craftsmanship conforms to employer's values, strategies, and expectations
  • Ensure field support projects are scheduled, forecasted, and remain within budget
  • Ensure all field service activities adhere to established safety guidelines and operational protocols
  • Manage budget, cost and schedule input for design assignments
  • Participate in preparation of proposals and manpower planning
  • Attend appropriate engineering, customer or business meetings
  • Clearly communicate (written and oral) with other company personnel and the customer
  • Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization
