About The Position

Crown Equipment Corporation, a leading global manufacturer of lift trucks, is seeking knowledgeable, customer-focused auto, diesel, aircraft, or forklift technicians to join their team as Field Service Lead Technicians. This role involves training, motivating, and monitoring the performance of other Field Service Technicians, ensuring safety practices, and maintaining customer relations. The position requires travel to customer locations for troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of lift trucks, as well as performing operator training and managing parts inventory. Requirements

  • 2-4 years related experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license, good driving record, and ability to safely operate lift trucks
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States. This is not a position for which sponsorship will be provided. Individuals with temporary visas or who need sponsorship for work authorization now or in the future, are not eligible for hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior Company experience as a Field Service Technician
  • Good mechanical and electrical aptitudes
  • Knowledge of electrical/electronic systems and hydraulics and internal combustion engines
  • Ability to read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics
  • Technical degree
  • Welding experience
  • Knowledge of various types of testing equipment
  • Good written/verbal communication, interpersonal, organizational, and motivational skills

Responsibilities

  • Communicate daily with Service Customer Care, Dispatcher, and Field Service Manager to determine work schedule.
  • Train, motivate, and monitor job performance of Field Service Technicians, including while at customer locations.
  • Inspect repairs and scheduled maintenance.
  • Ensure safety practices.
  • Review paperwork and timecards.
  • Confer with customers and communicate issues to branch management.
  • Maintain good customer relations.
  • Travel to customer locations to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair lift trucks.
  • Perform operator training or train the trainer at customer locations.
  • Pick up parts and replenish van inventory.
  • Perform minor repairs and service to the van.
  • Complete necessary paperwork.
