About The Position

The Field Service Foreman is responsible for hands-on repair in the field, managing parts carts, supporting field technicians, training new field technicians, providing technical guidance, diagnosing machines at branches that cannot be resolved by shop technicians, and other field-related activities as deemed appropriate by the Central Operations Manager. This position holds significant responsibility for ensuring both internal and external customer satisfaction. The incumbent is expected to consistently demonstrate alignment with the company's mission and core business values, collaborate with key internal/external resources, and participate in ongoing self-development.

Requirements

  • High school/equivalent diploma or trade school diploma required.
  • Three years of work-related skill, knowledge, or experience required, four or more years preferred.
  • Aerial lift certification required.
  • Forklift certification required.
  • Valid driver’s license required.

Nice To Haves

  • MSHA, OSHA & DOT certification preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of construction equipment, aerial, and lifting equipment.
  • Advanced mechanical background with various size and type engines and electrical systems.
  • Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
  • Quality control analysis skills - Conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance.
  • Operation and control skills - Controlling operations of equipment or systems.
  • Advanced mechanical skills and understanding of schematics and diagrams.

Responsibilities

  • Develops, evaluates, and influences effective and consistent productivity and teamwork to ensure the delivery of Legendary Customer Service (LCS).
  • Models, promotes, reinforces, and rewards the consistent use of HOLT’s Values Based Leadership (VBL) tools, models, and processes to ensure alignment with our Vision, Values, and Mission.
  • Ensures parts carts are accurate and finalizes the order.
  • Mentors, develops, and supports field technicians within their assigned group.
  • Performs repairs and troubleshooting offsite with minimal supervision.
  • Performs troubleshooting and diagnoses of equipment malfunctions and failures.
  • Removes and installs parts, disassembles and assembles basic components.
  • Tests, makes adjustments, and verifies proper operation of all repairs and adjustments.
  • Provides accurate input into key field service activities to ensure effective decision making and availability of human resources.
  • Requires regular and punctual employee attendance.
  • Works safely always and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Provides day-to-day direction, assists in parts ordering by pushing carts, and supports oversight to the Field Technicians.
  • Responsibilities include supporting hiring efforts, onboarding, coaching, and addressing employee and customer concerns, with guidance from leadership when appropriate.
