ECS is seeking a Field Service Engineer/Documentation Specialist to work in our Norman, OK office. Please Note: This position is contingent upon additional funding. This position provides support for the installation, troubleshooting, repair and maintenance for USPS automation equipment. Additionally, this role trains employees, and identifies, analyses, counsels on, and guides, the repairs of USPS automation equipment failures. This role also develops procedures and processes to prevent potential future equipment failures and issues, and develops life cycle support documentation, to include maintenance and safety procedures based on engineering, vendor, and COTS information. Other Duties & Responsibilities: Determine and recommend which products or services best USPS customer needs. Become familiar with USPS equipment servicing and engineering concepts, practices, and procedures. Rely on experience and judgement to guide, plan and facilitate equipment maintenance, repair and troubleshooting. Perform a variety of maintenance, installation and repair related tasks. Lead and direct the work of others. Use a wide degree of creativity and latitude in execution of duties. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Candidates must be able to obtain a USPS Public Trust clearance. This requires US Citizenship or Permanent Resident Status (Green Card), and the ability to pass a stringent background check.
