L3Harris is currently seeking an individual to provide onsite support at an overseas customer location. The individual should be able to work independently at a high level with reach-back support available for complex issues that require engineering support. The individual will be responsible for deploying, troubleshooting, operating and training while embedded with the customer. This role involves supporting customers onsite with complex communication equipment, performing routine and scheduled maintenance on SATCOM terminals, RF equipment, baseband systems, antennas, power systems, and related network components. The individual will troubleshoot, isolate, and resolve hardware, software, and network faults to restore full system functionality, conduct system health checks, diagnostics, and performance monitoring, and coordinate with engineering support teams and vendors for escalated issues, repairs, and system upgrades. Support for DoD projects/programs is required, with a preference for cross-domain C4ISR and/or Information Operations experience. The role includes integration and application of hardware and software on systems/networks, with the capability to troubleshoot problems at the component, system, and network levels. The position frequently involves providing guidance, coaching, and training to other employees, and communicating within and outside the organization, including with customers and vendors. Leadership communication regarding matters of importance to the functional or business area is expected, and briefings with customers and program leadership may be conducted. Work involves making significant improvements to processes, systems, solutions, or products to enhance job area performance. The role requires the ability to configure, operate, and monitor SATCOM equipment, assist in system integration, maintain accurate logs, deliver hands-on training, and serve as the on-site technical subject matter expert (SME). Preparation and maintenance of documentation, deployment to customer locations (sometimes in remote or austere environments), and management of spare parts, tools, and system components are also key responsibilities. Support for installation, upgrades, integration, and acceptance testing of new system components is required, along with other duties as assigned.
