Field Service Engineer - Cedar Rapids, Iowa
About The Position
The Field Service Engineer for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for supporting the needs of our client, which directly impacts patient health and overall well-being. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, installation, preventative maintenance, and service repair needs on Beckman Coulter equipment. This position services the Automation and Chemistry. You will be a part of the Field Service Team reporting to the Field Service Manager and will be located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa , and will be fully remote covering the areas of South Dakota, Nebraska, Iowa, Illinois, and Minnesota.
Requirements
- Associate degree (prefer technical, biomedical, instrumentation, electrical engineering or related) or equivalent military experience or High School diploma with 3+ years of experience.
- 1+ yrs experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electromechanical, robotics, electronic equipment, and/or instrumentation.
- Ability to travel , 20% overnight, within territory including Nebraska, North Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa.
- Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to lift, move, or carry equipment up to 50lb (tools, replacement parts, consumables etc.).
Nice To Haves
- 3+ years’ experience of advanced trouble shooting
- Developing relationships with internal and external customers to foster positive partnership and enhance likelihood of customer satisfaction and retention.
Responsibilities
- Under minimal direction, complete troubleshooting, installation, validation, preventative maintenance, modifications, and service repair needs on Beckman Coulter equipment including providing excellent and efficient service to Beckman Coulter’s customers, along with technical training on products.
- Maintain accurate customer service logs and internal service records, order repair parts, and adhere to cycle times.
- Utilize business systems such as OBI, Sales Force, and SharePoint for Service Call Planning and advancing team goals.
- Communicate with various levels of internal and external customers, recognizing and addressing their unique needs.
- Foster collaboration by assisting with the training of newer Field Service Engineers
