This job involves on-the-road travel and staying in hotels four nights a week after completing a 2-4 week training program at our facility in Holland, Michigan. The Field Service Engineer will perform field installations and start-ups, preventative maintenance, and inspect/conduct performance tests to verify product compliance with manufacturing prints and application engineering/purchase specifications. Responsibilities include documenting installed product performance, conducting training for product users on proper operation and maintenance, and troubleshooting, repairing, and calibrating refrigeration, electronics, and electro-mechanical components using prints and schematics. The role also involves establishing and maintaining positive customer relationships, coordinating service calls, explaining product benefits, establishing preventive maintenance contracts, and performing general service work. Maintaining knowledge of warranty, maintenance, and service policies, as well as vehicle logs and expense reports, is also required.
