About The Position

As a Field Service Representative and key member of the Central Region service team, you will provide on-site service including preventive maintenance, calibration, installation, and training across all product lines primarily in the Midwest. You will report to the Central Region Field Service Manager in Vernon Hills, IL. Your location is remote in or near Detroit, MI, but other major cities in the territory are possible. The base salary range for this position is $32.60-$30.90 per hour and depends on technical and service experience within the analytical instrumentation field. Requirements

  • 3 years experience in troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining complex analytical instruments
  • Ability to work independently and a strong commitment to customer satisfaction
  • Ability to work with electronic schematics, test equipment, and repair tools
  • Associate's degree in engineering or related technical field
  • Availability for frequent overnight travel (total travel up to 90%)
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record and passport

Responsibilities

  • Preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and calibration of instruments at customer sites within the assigned region
  • Managing inventory, trip planning, and administrative tasks related to service functions
